Getting around from place to place was very easy. The Belgium public transportation system is quite good and features fast rail connections and bus routes to most major places in the country. Most tourists who arrive in the country don't even need to rent a car unless they absolutely want to. Driving on roads is the American-style (drive on righthand side), so you won't get confused like you might in England. For those who are adventurous, you can also take a high speed train to other parts of Europe. For instance, Paris and Amsterdam are only about two hours away by train.
